A unique
business opportunity. cadillacville. After 40 years in business,
dbaer says it is time to pass the torch to another Cadillac enthusiast.
Large unique
inventory.
What are you buying?
- Inventory. Inventory.
Inventory. An 'impossible to replace or duplicate' inventory.
Inventory that has been accumulating for about 30 years.
- dbaer's cadillacville has
specialized in original, unique, hard to find, 1949 to 1985 parts. The
main source of which came from the more than 1,400 Cadillacs accumulated for
parts
- A very productive, well-liked Web
Site, that Cadillac people from all over the world have at their
fingertips. It has been an ongoing project since 1998 that keeps
growing and growing. It has been designed to be easily updated and
expanded.
- An established, reputable
business, cadillacville is well known among Cadillac aficionados. An
ongoing business that is receiving and shipping orders daily. The
first day you take over you are conducting business.
- Because we are so well
established, other Cadillac parts suppliers refer customers.
- We have been a regional
source for 'retiring' Cadillacs for 30 years. People and other
wrecking yards call us regularly to dispose of their Cadillacs. Thus
you are able to maintain an inventory of the unique, sought after parts that
are not available through other means, such as a wholesale warehouse.
Why I like this business.
- I've always liked stories about
someone finding an object at a garage sale for $2.00 and then later discover
it to be a valuable collectors item that resales for several thousand
dollars at Christie's auction. So, I like finding the
right car for a couple hundred dollars, then prospecting for the choice
pieces that are worth several hundred to a few thousand dollars and still
having the whole rest of the car with more parts that will eventually sell
for perhaps several additional thousand dollars. Somebody said,
"Buy low, sell high", I like that line of thinking.
- I get to talk to a lot of very
interesting people from all over the US and many foreign countries.
- There isn't the problem of inventory obsolescence.
If it sits a few years, it usually increases in value, sometimes quite a
bit.
- Note: I'm holding onto the parted out cars,
because they would be very expensive to move and they're part of my future
commodity investment portfolio.
Is there room for growth?
- Yes!
- Expand 'Years' of Cadillacs into the
1990's and beyond.
- Reproduction and Rebuilt parts.
- Expand into other car makes. Chevy,
Mopar, Mustangs, or your choice.
Plenty of room for more cars.
- Expand into restoration and sales of
cars.
- I'm to retirement age, so working a
simpler program these days.
A new, younger, energetic owner could take
this to a higher level.
Can the business be moved?
- Yes it can. What is being
offered for sale is: the parts, just all of the parts. A lot are already off cars in storage,
plus all the good items remaining on the cars. The business is about selling parts.
So, purchashing only the parts makes it very feasible to
pack them all into semi trailers or, used shipping containers, and then move
them to the buyers desired
location. It's possible the buisness could be operated from this facility
for a period of time.
- Location is near I-5 between Seattle,
WA and Portland, OR. Just off I-5 but yet in a rural, low cost area,
with established zoning for this purpose.
Why mail order only?
- Good marketing takes the
product directly from the producer to where there is the best price demand,
anywhere in the world, so the transaction isn't limited by location of
seller or buyer.
- Expenses are lower.
- Insurance cost is much lower.
- Security at it's best.
Prices and terms.
Please Note
This transaction will require
a minimum of
$50,000 cash.
Enthusiasm is fine but
refrain from calling if that requirement can't be met.
Inquiries backed with cash
only please. dbaer is not a lending institution
Thank You
